This isn’t exactly the same, however, because I made some revisions along the way while shading the other one. Almost the same, though.
I thought about submitting both versions to the Draw-Off competition, but thought it’d be a bad idea to have two versions of the same picture.
ittedly, I probably overdid the shading in the other one, but I was shooting for creepy more than realistic. I was also trying to hurry to finish it in time for the competition, or else I would have refined it a bit more, instead of making it quite so uniformly shaded. Ah well, lessons for if I want to do anything like that again, more subtly. I still think it was an interesting experiment at least. And in less than 24 hours it became my 2nd most viewed/3rd most favorited submission here, so that says something, at least.
By request, prints are now enabled for this picture, but I’m not sure if they’ll work.
God I when I first entered this fandom, this was one of the first MLP images that I ever saw and one that I would genuinely call one of my favorite pieces of all time.
