This takes place a little before the princess’s turn him into shadows. Amber is trying to provide him the love he needs to break through the dark magic that has overtaken him but he refuses her. He loves her but has buried those feelings deep within him so that he won’t lose the power he’s gained through dark magic.
 
 
The reason I have two of these is because I couldn’t decide which looked better.
