Simply knowing or understanding things is not something to be ashamed of. “Trivial” knowledge is seen as bad for vague reasons, which don’t have to actually be apparent for the prejudice to manifest.
This joke is fail. For example, I listen to so many jokes that I have 2 categories for them: Ones that make me laugh and ones that suck ass. This falls into the latter, btw.
