Why is everyone interpreting this caption as a complaint? Couldn’t it be celebrating the fact that we got G4 sea ponies?

Looks reminiscent of the design of Celestia’s head. Don’t know why people have a problem with this but not with Celestia.  
Besides, this is just one seapony in depiction and not an actual episode. Though, this particular seapony at least look like

I’m personally cool with the design. It’s just the cover of the book. Good for the kids to like. I was a sucker little kid videogame books.

Well, it is a book for kids to read. I know we’re a giant portion of the fandom, but Hasbro’s not gonna just turn away from the main point of pony, are they?
 
The show was made for kids and their parents to enjoy. In the case of this book, it’s something simple, easy and fun for the kids to read before they go to bed, without the parents needing to read it out to them (depending on the kid’s age).
 
Enjoy the show and storylines. Enjoy the dialogue and jokes. Enjoy the shout-outs and bronydom-wide laughs. But if something like this comes out, pay it no mind. It is, after all, My Little Pony being My Little Pony.
 
They already give so much to us bronies already, let the other audience have the occasional treat.

Yes, we got a beautiful well done cover instead of cut-n-paste no-imagination G1 style seaponies. The horror.

actually if we compare the difference between the g1 book and the g1 animate show to this book and the g4 animate show we have the same difference. So a seapony in the show would still look good.

Ahem, maybe you didn’t search Mary Jane Begin on google. She’s a book ilustrator so the cover is all her doing. It will be official but that doesn’t make impossible to see Aquestria in FiM style. Yet.
