@BP: The point is that an extreme minority of the fandom shouldn’t be allowed to damage the reputation of an extremely popular character because they don’t like it. I’m all for not offending people, but in this case it’s really obvious that Derpy wasn’t intended to be offensive, and that the vast majority of the fandom (likely including people with eye problems or mental disadvantages) don’t see her as offensive in any way. If you look hard enough, EVERYTHING offends someone in some way, and that fact shouldn’t dictate how things are for the 98.7% of the fandom who doesn’t care.
