This thing is years old, but I figured I’d give my input anyhow.
Superman’s most critical weakness is a weakness to magic. He is outright vulnerable to it. Celestia, being an alicorn, has the magic enhanced strength of the earth ponies, which means her punches and kicks would literally be magical in nature, somewhat evening the gap in theory. Her wings have pegasus magic, and her blasts that aren’t solar powered are outright magical power, which means she can hurt Superman which pretty much her whole arsenal.
The problem is twofold. Superman is way, way too fast for her. Even if landing any kind of hit could theoretically hurt him regardless of how much power he has, he just has to whip around behind her and punch her, like, once, which is the second part, she’s pretty frail compared to characters outside the mlp universe. I think she could catch Superman off guard, hold him for probably several minutes actually, but she definitely would not win.
Then again, they’d probably just become best friends anyways, so…
@Coolpichu
Yep, Goku isn’t evil, he’s STUPID. You know, “let’s see how cool his ultimate strength form is” stupid. He lives for the fight, so he takes unnecessary risks (a defect he shares with Vegeta).
Of course, he’s not Luffy-class stupid (“Hey, let’s ask the Ultimate Evil to our crew” level of stupid), but almost.
I always wondered what’s with the Japanese and making anime main characters with an IQ comparable to Spongebob Squarepants…
Disregarding fanon, Celestia has never done anything to make me think she could stand a chance in an outright fight with Superman. She might pull off a Batman-strategy though. Direct fighting isn’t her style. (See: NMM, Discord, getting ass handed to her by Chrysalis)

I don’t even know how to respond to your post, it’s so wrong. Goku loves a good fight, yes, but that hardly makes him evil.
Honestly, Celestia would win due to a small fault in Superman’s powers: a particular frequency of solar radiation drops his powers to nil (that’s why the Kryptonians were powerless, by the way). If Celestia replicates that frequency, Supes is just plain average joe against a lady that can toss mountains with her horn.
Coming back from the dead is a standard power for comic book superheroes. Superman has also done it. In fact, it’s usually quicker to list characters who haven’t…
Celestia would be the better superheroe if she wasn’t a leader of a nation.
Her powers: She is God, suck it Supes.
Really though a demi-goddess that controls the Sun unleashing her full-power would annihilate Superman.
But we all know that Captain America would win just by the fact his shield can withstand anything and he can come back from the dead.
No, Goku isn’t the most evil person in DB. Not even close. Frieza, for example, is a genocidal man whose destroyed at least two races and the planets they lived on because he was bored.
Batman doesn’t generally win so much as survive. He needs massive amounts of preparation to hang on long enough to get Superman to stop fighting.
Even then, Batman is acknowledging that Superman could atomize instantly if he wasn’t such a nice guy.
There’s a reason that a lot of Batman’s plans involve having someone else face Superman, and that’s because he’s too smart to willingly go head-to-head with someone as powerful as Superman.
And Ron is a death eater apparently. Yes he’s does like a good match now and again, but he wouldn’t risk the lives of anyone to do it, andhe does act with the greater picture in mind and does want what’s best for it, also Goku isn’t very bright.
Well, way I see it, Celestia would be trying to kill Lex Luthor, becuase Luthor stole fourty of Celestia’s cakes (which is terrible). Superman would try and keep Luthor alive, becuase you can’t kill someone without a trial and blah blah blah.

That’s not how you spell The Tick.

Batman is also a viable option as he’s dealt with the Joker and has beaten Superman!

@Quickfix
Eh, fair enough.
