So what’s the story behind fluffy ponies? I’ve always believed they originated from Flufflepuff, but I’ve heard other stories such as them being created on reddit to piss off hug boxers, or that they origins have nothing to do with flufflepuff and instead some other source.
Could someone explain?

>bronies create memes and subcultures, including humanized ponies, ask blogs and the Conversion Bureau, amongst many others

>the first is the meme of “Ponies as pets”, which leads to the lore creation of Hasbio
>the other is the meme of adding more Fluff to ponies (this can be attributed to Mixermike)
>the two memes combined to create the first fluffy pony fiction (some of which Mixermike draws for)
>Mixermike creates the OC of Fluffle Puff, which, while a fluffy pony, is unrelated to the larger fluffy pony fandom we now know
>fluffy ponies started featuring abuse and, being seen as off-topic, gets booted off /mlp/
