Well, if we are going down that road, lets all that not all original “Equestrians” are actually ponies either. Unicorns and pegasi are separate species that are labeled as “pony tribes”, but I always found that to be a propaganda device used by the Princesses to keep a unified kingdom. That is why I don’t understand why they went with that “everycreature” nonsense, since “pony” is already a vague enough term used as a stand-in for “subject of the Equestrian Kingdom”. Just continue calling everyone ponies, why in the world would you introduce a term that abolishes all pretenses that they are all of one nation.
