Yeah, and oddly many of those same people also hate other reformed villains like Discord & Starlight for “getting away with everything,” or “Being easily forgiven.” (Which isn’t entirely true, seeing as things they do bite them in the butt sometimes, as well, and such.) If the villainous trio was reformed, I’m sure half the fanbase would be saying those same things about them, as well…
I don’t need all my favorite villains reformed, in fact I like some better as villains. (I can’t see Tirek getting along with ponies, or Chrysalis having tea & crumpets with them.)
In regards to people whom still demonize Starlight for “ruining the timeline/almost destroying Equestria,” (which they they forget that was never her intention, when she was bad, she only wanted revenge on Twilight for losing her town) and technically, because Twilight talked sense into her, nothing happened, and the timeline was restored to normal, and unlike other villains, after realizing her mistake, and seeing what might’ve happened had her plans worked, Starlight actually turned herself in to Twilight, and her friends willingly to face “whatever punishment they deem suitable.”
So even if the damage she did was (unintentinally) devistating, it still didn’t happen, thanks to time travel, and by now she’s done more good then bad.
The villainous trio meanwhile took pleasure in destruction, and did it intentionally, and had no intention to apologize, or turn themselves in.
This is actually a good shot of the terrible trio.

I disagree, in a world where they kinda need magic, (not just unicorns/alicorns, but said magic helps pegasi fly/control the weather, and earth ponies strength, and earthly cultivation skills) it does help make villains like Tirek & Cozy more imposing, while giving them a way to weaken the good guys.

She even straight up said she wanted power. Nothing about what she did could be seen as the right thing
That’d be funnier if so many fans didn’t actually believe that.
I like Cozy & the the villainous trio, but I can accept that they’re bad guys.

The finale was fine. Definitely could have been better. Nowhere near as bad as GOTs ending.
