I haven’t noticed it until now, and it’s really jarring now that I hear it clearly. In the new version of The Last Roundup, if you listen closely, you can hear the old version of the voice in the background (specifically in this video from 0:36 to 0:39). Even the mouth-flaps don’t match the new version which makes it even more obvious. Now it makes me want to bust out my Season 2 DVD to see which version of the episode I have…
I don’t like either of these voices. The first one sounds like a boy and sounds a bit too dumb while the second one kinda sounds a bit like she was wrecking the stuff on purpose (I think it might be the inflection of her delivery, it seems a bit sarcastic).
The voice she got in Slice of Life? Perfection. It’s honestly what I expected her to sound like: all cute and bubbly.

I agree with you on that one, the voice she was given in the slice of life episode was practically perfect.
Still I was very happy they named her derpy originally and gave her this funny voice.
BTW, there is another voice no one mentioned. First episode when she says “Muffins” it sounded unique as well

In the past I’d say I definitely prefer the original funny voice but I’ve come to like all of her voices..
But the old version had RD say “Derpy”.
