It did poke fun at the absurdity factions fighting over ownership of the Moon, and Master Henson might as well have directly quoted Kennedy in the Show Bible.
So, let us not be blind to our differences–but let us also direct attention to our common interests and to themeans by which those differences can be resolved. And if we cannot end now our differences, at least we can helpmake the world safe for diversity. For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabitthis small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children’s future. And we are all mortal.

Just watched a review of Fraggle Rock from Pan Pizza of RebelTaxi and while I’ve never been a follower of the Muppet medium, learning about this show’s history was interesting. Apparently, it “ended” the Cold War according to Pan!
Fraggle Rock has actually aged very well, and doesn’t talk down to kids like some “puppet shows” too. Some episodes even deal with serious subjects, like death.
And an episode explicitly about war. And the famous episode that directly addressed death. And an environmental episode with an oil drilling allegory.
