Yeah, I loved that movie for a few years back in the early ‘10s, but even I don’t reference it much. There are very few memes of it, and the ones there are are of Col. Quaritch (because he’s amazing). The blue kitties don’t get hardly any attention anymore.

I think its greatest asset was also its greatest flaw, i.e. it was generic. This allowed it to appeal to a wide audience but also to be quickly forgotten.
Holy shit a reference to James Cameron’s Avatar. That movie that was the biggest blockbuster on earth for like 10 years yet no one in the last 9 years ever quotes or references or even seems to the movie existed
This is an accurate description of Equestria from what we got to see over nine seasons. It seems like Ponyville couldn’t go a month without some ancient evil attacking it. Not to mention they live literally right next to the gate to Hell.
