Derpy is thoroughly exhausted from taking care of her newborn, her hair a mess, but when Dinky looks up and smiles at her for the first time it all becomes worth it.

(sigh) makes you kind of relate to the real world. a baby is a project that your compelled to experiment with. experience it. a truly arduous task, but all it takes is a smile to realize your project has more meaning than you could ever possibly imagine. and you keep going, knowing there’s going to be wonderful things coming.
Derpy is sleep deprived, completely stressed and at the end of her patience. But Dinky’s smile was worth everything!
