Took me a while to realize how well the scene in general is synchronized with this song. I first thought it was just synchronized for when Canterlot appears, but there is much more than that.

“You Got This” is all about preparing the Festival of Friendship (even mentioning it by name) and what roles the Mane Six have in doing so, so the creators may have considered this unused intro theme redundant.

what could have been….i dont understand ‘why’ they chose to put in that parody song it was the only song like that in the entire movie…maybe they thought the tone of this song and ‘you got this’ were too similar?
