I pretty much thought along the same lines. I have no problem with canons paired with OC’s, but this one just rubbed me the wrong way.
The Cloudsdale bullies still being assholes and teasing others is fine, and messing with the food as revenge was fine, but the where they’re running away and he’s acting like a hotshot just made me cringe. It’s easy to talk big when you’ve drugged someone so they can’t respond. It even ended with an “everyone clapped.”
Any food establishment should have a bathroom. The fact that they’re running away from the restaurant to find some other bathroom is illogical and just to keep the happy ending intact.
I don’t see this ending well for Copper. Once the laxative has run it’s course the three of them are gonna be angry. They could come back and easily kick his ass, turning this little fairy-tail end into a tragedy.
This was like a parody of a cringy fantasy, but without being a parody. We all know Pinkie could’ve just asked if they wanted sprinkles on their shakes, and then blow them up. And then kick them out. She and her co-workers wouldn’t just take that mistreatment. It’s awkward that Pinkie needed to be shown as weak in order for this Copper guy to have any worth. He had to be the hero, instead of letting Pinkie solve this herself and congratulate her.
And he did so by committing a crime and putting Pinkie’s career in danger. That’s not brave or cool. If we’re ignoring consequences, then he shoulda beaten their asses. If we’re not, he should have encouraged Pinkie to ban the three.
Just to respond to some of the reports this thread has generated, please keep your comments on topic for the image (as opposed to the off topic discussions in the thread) and please keep your criticisms of the artist and the comic constructive.
