Yeah but the first draft to that episode was gonna be a lot more happy. Rainbow and Lighting would have had their wing and lead positions swapped to the rightful owners.
Its also because a friend of mine who grew an attachment for Lightning Dust sympathized with her due to her reminding him of an anime character with a similar personality and fate and my friend has influenced me to do the same with Dusty. And because my friend claims he has “retired” from fandom dramas, I don’t have much weight to my arguments but will still stand by what I say.

Lightning Dust was kicked out for a pretty good reason. She started a twister which almost killed the Mane Six and barely showed any remorse for it.

I don’t think Tanks for the Memories has much to do with Dash’s Wonderbolts journey but she should be thankful that she wasn’t caught.
Spitfire’s character started her decline once she kicked Lightning Dust out.

Do you think they’d continue to let her be one of them if they found out about what she did to the weather factory? Or that she tried to cause a drought just so she could be with her pet more? I liked Spitfire in Wonderbolts Academy, but I agree her character went down hill afterwards.

I dunno about Tanks for the Memories but Newbie Dash, I can understand. This journey can also be titled “The fall of Spitfire”.
