Although, considering this generation is supposed to be about diversity, treating the only male main character as poorly as they did Spike in G4 would be hypocritical. The smart thing to do, from a writing standpoint, a business standpoint, and a woke standpoint, is to give Hitch decent character depth and portray him as an all-around pretty great dude, even if he isn’t perfect.
At worst it looks like he will be cocky like rainbow dash
Correct; Hitch already has some depth from the animated teaser. Dude’s handsome, confident, and genuinely comionate. What a respectable lad.
Why not both?
From all the teasers I’m pretty sure that’s the case already. His smirk seems confident enough. :P
