I have a Stanley rechargeable flashlight that can also charge your phone that has the same type of (non USB Standard Compliant) double-ended charging cable. It predates USB-C which is bi-directional, therefore making that type of bodge unnecessary.

Umm Trixie, that’s a USB-A connector, you use it to get power OUT of devices, not put it in.
