Of course a liberal think tank is going to lie about the cost of a program that doesn’t the interests of Big Pharma. They’re the type that took a right wing healthcare plan, added a small penalty that disproportionately affects the lower class, and made it a signature achievement.
Love the pre-crafted talking points that completely omit the TOTAL healthcare spending (only considers + costs fo the M4A program, omits the -costs for removing all the other payments), and when that is considered as part of how much is paid for healthcare, even the right-wing Mercatus Institute calculations were a NET SAVINGS.
“Bernie has talked about providing health care for free from the rulers you know what, the liberal-leaning urban institute scored Bernie’s health plan. Concluded it would cost 2.5 trillion bits in the first year, 32 trillion bits over 10 years. All the income taxes we pay are about 1.5 trillion a year. Every one of us paying taxes would have to triple what you pay in income taxes to get an additional 2.5 trillion. Now Bernie is no doubt gonna come back and say ‘None of you are gonna pay. Just the rich.” Well how about if we took every princess and every business owner who makes over a million bits a year and confiscated 100% of their income took every bit that they make. That would only raise enough money to fund Bernie’s plan for five months.”
