While Gallus was spending the week with Sandbar’s family, Sandbar enjoyed himself in Griffonstone. Grandpa Gruff was paid a decent sum of bits to house the young pony and he had intended to ignore him for the most part. But there was something flattering about Sandbar’s interest in Gruff’s past and his overal excitement to learn about griffon culture.
Sandbar was absolutely elated when Grandpa Gruff agreed to show off his archery skills. Grandpa Gruff wasn’t used to being ired like this by such a youngin and he didn’t mind it at all.

Over the course of the week Sandbar played poker with the griffons, helped Gabby build a swing with colorful beads and bells for the local day care center, became addicted to Gilda’s griffon scones, watched Gruff shoot and listened to his stories. Sandbar got a little emotional when it was time to leave and even Grandpa Gruff cared a little.
