Yeah that’s also weird to me. I got a reasonably large full-color tattoo (8”x8”) and once you relax and just let it happen, you’re not bothered. After a few hours it can get kind of tiring, but not flinching or painful. Irritating, maybe?
I happened to fall asleep every session it took. I’m great at inducing relaxed states.
And trust me, if she’s already into the colour. She wouldn’t be flinching like that. The adrenaline will have kicked in, and yes whilst it hurts. Your body is numbing it by that point
