True, but investigating white collar crime needs a somewhat different skillset to investigating murder - while crimes of ion probably aren’t as serious in Equestria (and tend to be somewhat more obvious in who did it too).

Even Utopias with little organized and street crime would still have white collared crime and crimes of ion. To lack either of these suggest a dystopian level of indoctrination.

Been saying the same ever since noticing Daring Do is the only pegasus with the colors of mane and coat reversed from Derpy’s.

I love seeing unusual headcanons like this.

Derpy, to me, is basically Adrian Monk from ‘Monk’. Only without any actual murders occuring… pretty much anywhere in Equestria… work has been, shall we say, slow.
 
All she needs is a pony to die horribly and she’ll be able to tell you exactly what went wrong!

I actually do like to think that Derpy is actually incredibly intelligent, but she’s so air-headed, absent-minded, and clumsy that nopony notices.
