Detailed syntax guide

@Lord You Know Who
Because for all his faults (and there are plenty!) Jonathon Majors is one of those actors you simply cannot recast. It would be like trying to recast a part played by Tim Curry, Jim Carrey, or Robin Williams. It would be foolish to try, and the results would be nothing but a disaster.

Thinking it over, I’m now convinced that the TVA will play a part in “Avengers: Doomed” (what I call the “Doomdsay” + “Secret Wars” two-parter), as Feige can’t just throw the entire Multiverse story arc outta the window.
So, the whole Multiverse and TVA story will still happen, only with Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom behind it rather than Kang.

Well, considering Disney/Marvel also got the Russo brothers, who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War, as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, to return alongside Robert Downey Jr., I’d say let’s just wait and see what happens.
After all, people were also skeptical about Ben Schwartz playing Sonic and Chris Pratt playing Mario, and we all know what happened with them.
Again: why not just recast the role? It would less of a WTF decision than this.

Blame Majors. Even if this RDJ thing was a questionable idea, it’s pretty much down to Majors’ troubles.

Because Disney has no flipping idea what they’re doing?

The actual answer? No idea. My theory, they started second guessing going with Kang as the next big bad of the major arcs.
And they reason they went this route instead of simply recasting Kang is because…?
Because the actor who played Kang got arrested and fired.
