I know it’s not exactly a serious post but in case anyone has this same question, God doesn’t take lives early just because he wants only the good souls when he pleases. At least, in Judeau-Christian faith, we believe that because of our rebellion against God during creation in seeking knowledge and power, he sent hardship on man to forever be subjected to towards eventual and unavoidable death. However, he decided not to eradicate our race all together and to instead offer his wisdom to a number of selected prophets to spread his message and covenant with his people. His message includes helping the sick, poor, dying and imprisoned. Through the wounded is how we heal both ourselves and others.

Innocent people fall victim to illness and hardship for us to take care of. If only bad people experienced hardship, mankind wouldn’t have the desire to help them, and thus we aren’t healing ourselves either. We’d simply believe “Oh well he clearly must have deserved it”. But when God’s plan allows for a child to be born blind or for a woman to be assaulted, our reaction to these tragedies is what he is observing. We can point the finger at God and ask how he could have allowed this to happen to an innocent life, and to which God can respond “If this had been done to a guilty life, would you still be upset with me? Would you care for the woman’s recovery and guide the blind if they were evil?”. As sad as it is to say, the wounds of innocent people are the burden on humanity that we were given when we rebelled against God. How we deal with that burden decides if we go to heaven. We can say “I’ll help the blind and abused if they are good people who didn’t deserve it”, which is right to do, but if you refuse to do it for those that don’t deserve it, then you are refusing Mercy, and yet you ask for God to have mercy on your sins.
