Hey everyone. I know it’s been a long time, and there’s something I need to say. I’m going to try very hard not to post any more nsfw content.
Not too long ago, I felt an unexpected spiritual calling. After hesitating and wrestling with doubt, I finally decided to give faith a try. The joy, hope, wonder, and love I’ve experienced since then have had a profound impact on me, and I’ve been stumbling my way towards a more pious life ever since. I was stumbling pretty hard while making this animation and came very close to adding a second, sexually explicit part that I had originally planned, but I somehow managed to stop myself. Sometimes, I feel like my soul has two identities: a part of me that longs intensely to be with God, to feel his love, and to follow Him sincerely, and a part of me that doesn’t want to let go of the lewd and enticing concepts I’ve come up with, the animation puppets I’ve built, and my plans for taking my nsfw art to the next level. These two sides of me cannot coexist in peace and they’ve created a cognitive dissonance.
I believe in God. That’s something that won’t change. I find it illogical that I’m still struggling to be good when I know that the fate of my soul for all eternity is at stake, but I am. It pains me whenever I fall back into my old habbits because the shame discourages me from staying close to God, and that diminishes the incredible sensation of love I often feel when I pray. The acute pleasure of sin is such a terrible drug, though. I want the good side of me to win. I intend for the good side of me to win. I’m going to confession this weekend and, if all goes well, I hope to remain in full communion with God forever more. I really, really want that.
I might continue to post under this , but if I do, hopefully the content will be different, reflecting how my beliefs and intentions have shifted. I pray that the news of my change in spirit reaches your hearts and inspires in some of you a desire for good things and for a transformation of your own spirit. Don’t be afraid to choose faith if you ever feel called; I do not regret it.
I wish all of you well, and may God grant each of you an opportunity to discover Him, as He did for me.

Yeah, would’ve been better to switch to doing SFW stuff rather than stopping completely. Might’ve even been a way to help them train their self control if they have problems with it.
Exactly, my god gave me the ability to enjoy the things that I like, but he also gave me the willpower to control myself. For some people, it is a problem to have self control, but the alternative going strictly toward faith is not necessarily the same as gaining that control. However the artist wants to move forward with their life is their decision, but jeez he had some really good talent with this.
@SazerLite
Pornography doesn’t strike me as a major issue as long as you have the self control and awareness to avoid becoming a gooner. Only types I see having a problem with any amount are the zealous sort, which would be the opposing extreme.
@EvilEnchantress
That’s totally fine with me! I have software for both of those, and honestly if it works for you it should work for me. I’ll shoot you a DM!

MASSIVE W. Saw the description on ponerpics, but didn’t know you’re Catholic too. Receive the sacraments regularly and your temptations will decrease! Praying for you.

I have a much greater capacity for cognitive dissonance than most others. What snapped me out of being a churchgoer was a sermon reminding us that angels are real and impact the physical world. It was that seemingly anodyne reminder of Church teaching that made me realize that I had not “truly believed”™ in years, if ever. The treasured apologetics that previously smoothed over the cognitive dissonance became a bunch of legalistic spergy nonsense. Defining the morality of action in relation to purpose is Aristotlean nonsense, and the justification against the specific injunctions against faggotry and condoms no longer held.
I attended out of more than mere habit. The incense, pipe organs, and intimacy of the midnight Mass kept me returning long past when most others with similar apathy to the underlying theology would’ve left.
After a surprisingly short stint as an apathetic agnostic, I stumbled into a series of lectures on an Upanishad (the specific Upanishad deliberately redacted for privacy). The teachings about karma and reincarnation provided satisfactory answers to the following questions:
Why bad people have good luck?
Why horrid things befall the morally upstanding?
It’s not just a one-and-done. You have as many shots as it takes to reach the final goal.
3 is not an excuse for laziness. If you spend every lifetime fantasizing how you will reach Heaven in your next life, you will build a habit of procrastination and eternally be caught in worldly suffering. Even if you don’t reach it, if your goal is heaven after this next death, you are setting your next lives with a habit of seeking Heaven and staying on the path.
As to how to handle the continued hypocrisy of worshipping horse buttholes? First, an aside. Everypony worships something. Athiests are often the most fervent worshippers because they do not recognize what they are doing is worship. Most faithful know they “just believed” somewhere along the way and have capacity for doubt.
Personally, I take the multi-track drift approach. I am both vidya and avidya; simultaneously brahmacarya and lobha: whichever you ask for, I shall provide in abundance.

I’m a former Jehovah’s Witness that became agnostic due to how poorly they treated my mother and how they protected my father and excused his borderline criminal behavior. Now I’m unable to have faith in any religion since they’re all made by fallible humans that could just be making things up as they go along. My view on the subject of god is that either they’re forgiving enough to accept people that genuinely try to be good, even if they don’t preform the human made rituals, or their standards are beyond human capability to satisfy.
I’m religious myself, but I think it is weak of you to not be able to separate these two things in your head. And to preach about it to people. You sound mentally challenged and I hope you get help.
Would watch instantly.
Imagine if he put his talent toward making VeggieTales but with ponies.
well if faith allows him to stray away from his addiction, then so be it
it’s either all or none, but seriously, that guy’s really talented
Likewise, the logistics of being a USELESS URBANCEL make it difficult to form a stable relationship with a mare.
Having a pø®n addiction makes forming an intimate relationship with a person very problematic.
G-d should have banned all s*x.
I think she gave them to someone else

I’m a Christian, and neither do I
You’re Catholic, and yet you don’t want to be ashamed of indulging in porn?
