More to the point of the picture, I do find the idea of Celestia secretly being an Angel of the Christian God a fascinating one. In fanfiction stories she is either depicted as a goddess herself, a secret worshiper of a pantheon of gods, or just being a normal Alicorn going with the flow of the crowds worshipping her for the sake of Equestria.

Ehh, that depends on the interpretation of the Bible you’re going with. If you’re going with the belief that the Christian God is evil, then it’s no wonder the route would be “hail Satan.” Though, even during my angsty agnostic phase, Satan is still a jerk and not worthy of any kind of worship.
The Celestial eye of the all seeing sun.
Armageddon has just begun.
lands turned to sand. The Earth is barren.
Gods ultimate plan = Death suffering and destruction
to all that is human.
@marinus18
Plenty of ‘carrots’ to go with the ‘sticks’ in both the Old and New Testaments… And that is leaving any actual theological interpretation out of it, which for almost all denominations tilts it much more towards a desire to reward in preference to punish… but humans being humans both come up frequently.
And that’s precisely what I was talking about earlier. If you bring up religion, you are bound to offend someone, which is why Twilight Sparkle meeting God (or an “angel” who looks so much like God Himself that the difference is negligible) makes for a drawing that’s very difficult to comment on.

The years after 2020 are far from record-breaking in of death and suffering. They seem so terrible only because we ourselves are living in them.

…which is why I proudly say. HS

Well, Galeem is based off of a biblical accurate angel.

Twilight: would.
angelestia: …be more afraid!
Old testament, perhaps, but new one tends to go more for gratitude.
Angelestia comes down and goes “MAKE FRENS”!!! RAHGGGHHHH!!!”
Now I’m picturing a biblically accurate angel coming down and going “BE AFRAID!!! RAHGGGHHHH!!!”
The bible constantly tells people to be afraid, that’s how it works.
I SAID BE NOT AFRAID!
That one is current though and the bible pretty much justifies ethnic cleansing.
