For those who didn’t know — Baku is not only a character, but a real person. I met him on Amino in 2017. I simply wrote under his profile, “let’s be friends,” and a day later (a bit late) he agreed. But I wrote that because I wanted to start a relationship with him, lol. I was young and would start relationships at the snap of a finger. Especially online.
I immediately rushed at him with something like, “let’s become a couple,” but he said he already had a girlfriend. So for the next week I cursed her in my head and wished for them to break up (I’m not proud of that, but those were only thoughts — I never told anyone anything like that directly). A week later they broke up, which actually had nothing to do with me, since I didn’t know her and had never even seen her profile XD
After that, for about a month, I kept trying to convince him to become my boyfriend, but he refused, saying he needed time to recover from his previous relationship. But I was persistent. I bothered him through text RP and constantly pushed for it, and eventually he gave in.
He lived in Belarus, and I lived in Russia. I’m closer to Moscow, and he was… on the other side of the country. And yet that didn’t stop him from coming to visit me in 2021, haha. Yes, we had an online relationship for that long. We barely even knew each other’s faces before meeting in person. We lived through the internet and inside it, through our characters.
So my lore and comics are our life — mine and Baku’s. The place where we lived before we had the chance to live together in reality. Astraconia and the Griffon Mountains replaced real life for us.
We’re still together now, and we will never break up. He’s too attached to me, just like I am to him. I consider myself a burden, capable only of drawing and dreaming about things. I don’t work and I can’t work, because I’m psychologically afraid of society. And there’s no money for treatment. And still, he won’t leave me.
I’m like someone who has been tamed. And those who are tamed aren’t meant to be abandoned.
