All generations besides G4 had only one cutie mark instead of one on both sides to keep toy prices down. So now sunny gets to be a half blank flank
Am I tricked by camera angle, or did they forget to render the sky?
(Kind of saying this out of force of habit; I’ve been a fan of a certain animated series that seemingly had errors in pretty much each and every aspect of animation, so I gained enjoyment in keeping an eye out for them)
I actually knew that. My error (if any?) was assuming that those commenting on the absence correctly ed which side it was supposed to be.

Double-checked the scene, yep they did. I mean, all they had to do was throw a light blue in the background.
