I like how this one moment in the movie is framed as a point of no return. Up until now, Sunny’s leading Izzy away from the crowd can be chalked up by Hitch to being unicorn “mind control” and she would probably escape any real ramifications. But only after she pushes the button does Hitch try to arrest her. Once she pushes that button, she is actively and undeniably breaking the law to stand up for what her father taught her to believe.
Even laws and rules can be wrong/made in bad faith/etc., and there are instances where doing what’s morally right is more important. A lesson any sheriff/officer/judge/etc. must internalize. You go, Sunny!
