ASGeek has a Pandemic AU that was started way before Covid hit. General premise is that Sunset Shimmer created a virus that gradually turned humans into ponies. Though that’s probably oversimplifying it a bit. These days he’s kind of left the fandom I think, but stories are still being written for the AU in his absence.

Also, ‘Pandemic AU fanfic’ was certainly not on my bingo card for I would hear in 2026. Though I have heard of ASGeek before. I have read a few of their stories on FiMFiction.net.
