Visual Design: Arty is a tall, strong kangaroo with multi-colored fur. She has a blue head with a pink nose that perfectly matches her right ear and left arm. Her left ear and right arm are a bright orange, her left leg is green, and her right leg is yellow. Her main body and tail are a deep purple, contrasted by a sparkling glitter underbelly and pouch. She keeps her look street-smart and functional for crafting by wearing a purple baseball cap and bright orange kicks
Personality: Arty is endlessly optimistic, resourceful, and wildly energetic. To her, there is no such thing as “trash”—only art that hasn’t found its purpose yet. She is a bouncy, ive mother who encourages creativity above all else.
Abilities & Talents
The “Mary Poppins” Pouch: Arty’s pouch defies the laws of physics. Aside from safely holding Sketcher, it acts as a seemingly bottomless inventory of art supplies. Whenever Arty needs something—a hot glue gun, a specific shade of teal yarn, or a random gear she found three weeks ago—Sketcher acts as her “inventory manager,” instantly pulling it out from the depths of the pouch and handing it to her.
Acrobatic Crafting: Kangaroos are built for jumping, and Arty uses this to her advantage. She can leap high into the Bridlewood canopy to scavenge for rare vines or crystals, literally assembling and weaving massive art pieces together mid-air before she even hits the ground.
Their Home: The Scrap-Canopy Treehouse
Located in the heart of Bridlewood, their home is a massive, glowing crystal tree that they have entirely repurposed into a multi-level art studio.
The Architecture: The treehouse is built entirely from salvaged materials. The roof is made of colorful, overlapping license plates and discarded shields that shimmer like dragon scales, while the floors are a beautiful mosaic of broken sea glass and smoothed stones.
The Bungee-Cord Elevators: Because Arty prefers bouncing over walking, there are no stairs. Instead, the floors are connected by a system of sturdy, elastic bungee cords and trampolines that allow them to vault from the living room directly up to the painting studio.
Sketcher’s Crow’s Nest: At the very top of the tree is a quiet, glass-enclosed observation deck. It is specifically designed for Sketcher, giving him a panoramic view of Bridlewood so he can watch the birds, the glowing crystals, and the weather to inspire his next animation.
The “Unicorn-Horn” Wind Chimes: The branches surrounding the house are draped in massive wind chimes made from hollowed-out, glowing crystals and old metal pipes. When the wind blows, they create a clinking, musical rhythm that Izzy and Arty love to craft to.
