Appearance & Personality
Visual Design: Sketcher is a tiny, wide-eyed joey who spends most of his time riding safely inside Arty’s pouch. He has black and white fur with a silver underbelly. He wears a blue baseball cap, a red bandana on his neck and blue sneakers. His black and white fur completes with a blue nose, a black head, hands and legs and white body with a matching tail and arms. He is never seen without his oversized sketchbook and a charcoal pencil tucked behind his ear.
Personality: Sketcher is the quiet observer. While his mom is loud and bouncing off the walls, he is silently and furiously drawing everything he sees, communicating primarily through his expressive sketches.
Abilities & Talents
Sketcher’s Illusion Blueprints: Sketcher draws incredibly fast. When Arty needs to figure out how a complicated upcycling project will look, Sketcher creates a rapid flip-book animation. His drawings are so full of heart that they project a temporary, glowing, magical hologram of the blueprint into the air for Arty (and Izzy) to follow.
Their Home: The Scrap-Canopy Treehouse
Located in the heart of Bridlewood, their home is a massive, glowing crystal tree that they have entirely repurposed into a multi-level art studio.
The Architecture: The treehouse is built entirely from salvaged materials. The roof is made of colorful, overlapping license plates and discarded shields that shimmer like dragon scales, while the floors are a beautiful mosaic of broken sea glass and smoothed stones.
The Bungee-Cord Elevators: Because Arty prefers bouncing over walking, there are no stairs. Instead, the floors are connected by a system of sturdy, elastic bungee cords and trampolines that allow them to vault from the living room directly up to the painting studio.
Sketcher’s Crow’s Nest: At the very top of the tree is a quiet, glass-enclosed observation deck. It is specifically designed for Sketcher, giving him a panoramic view of Bridlewood so he can watch the birds, the glowing crystals, and the weather to inspire his next animation.
The “Unicorn-Horn” Wind Chimes: The branches surrounding the house are draped in massive wind chimes made from hollowed-out, glowing crystals and old metal pipes. When the wind blows, they create a clinking, musical rhythm that Izzy and Arty love to craft to.
