Oh, I wholeheartedly agree with you on that, since it was so stupid of the show writers to not just make things official and have Rainbow Dash’s parents just adopt Scootaloo, especially since they had previously covered other such topics in the show, like how supposed blood isn’t strictly what makes someone family, like with that jerk Sludge dragon who said he was Spike’s father.
I just get irritated with how relatively badly the show writers handled the last two seasons of MLP:FiM, because like I said, they did cover a few similar types of topics before, so why could it magically not work again?
And while I don’t think they strictly had to go this far, they could’ve taken some inspiration from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air if they wanted to add some drama to Scootaloo being adopted by RD’s parents.
You’re not alone in your feelings. When you get to the part of the show where we find out about Scoot’s family, you’ll probably feel even more frustration just like everypony else did…
Great art, by the way! You really captured the tired look of a long day spent entertaining an energetic feeling, while also showing the genuine joy and happiness Windy and Bow have for Scoots being a part of their lives.
