Thank you, I didn’t think I and my love for G5 would have so many like‑minded people (I am Background pony A34C).❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
It’s such a relief to know that you’re not alone, sometimes (especially now that it’s been a little bit since the release of G5 and the 5th anniversary) sometimes it’s sad that you’re the only one, and it’s easier for the world to say that G5 is a terrible series and a complete non-canon, and I just understand that for all the time, I’ve been with this generation (and I’ve been with them since the movie A new generation, which I watched on the day it was released, and up to now, when we have to wait and hope for G6), it was such a delight to wait for every episode (especially Tell your tale , their atmosphere is my everything) , build crazy theories, draw something ( it’s true that I draw for myself, but for me it’s my main pleasure), that maybe it was all for your joy, but sometimes it seems that those who hate G5 (and wish its fans to burn in hell) more than those who who genuinely likes the G5
But my brother is always with me, and as it turns out, even some internet s.
I sincerely thank you, guys, even though I’ll never be able to get to know you, you’re still important to me (that is, to Sunny, Hitch, Pipp, Zipp, Misty, and Izzy). 😊😊😊😊😊
And happy fifth anniversary of the fifth generation of My Little Pony! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I hope you’ll like G6 — who knows, maybe it will be a masterpiece! ❤❤❤❤❤

I agree with you, I just got attached to them, and I started my MLP journey thanks to G5, and all those mistakes made them even more and more beloved to me.
So, perhaps, even though G4 is more perfect, G5 is still my favorite and closest, and for me it will always remain the best generation of My Little Pony 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Although I’m sure I’ll like G6 too — they’re all ponies, which means they’re all wonderful! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@ARandomByStander
She was the character with a clear development.
A shame the royal family didn’t do that well.
I was really interested to see how Zipp becoming/not-becoming the new ruler could have evolved.

they didn’t need to rush to G5 though. they still had hundreds of ponies that people wanted episodes for and merch for. They had a lush garden of art and storytelling and they burned it down and tried to plant a new garden in the smoldering ash while it was still burning in the hearts of the fans. Nothing new will grow before the soil has had time to be turned.
@DaisyAzuras
You’re right. Regarding the first comment, it’s true, most of the pony plushie merch comes from fans who actually take the time to make plushies with accurate proportions and designs for each character, unlike what Hasbro was selling, which were cheap, low-quality plushies. And as for the other point, Hasbro rushed to wrap up the g4 world in order to start with new content, and that also explains the contradictions and plot holes in g5 when it comes to connecting it to g4. Any idea is a good idea if you know how to execute it well, and that’s what Hasbro failed to do when they handled g5. The creative team tried to give g5 an identity, but Hasbro directly controlled every idea to ruin it as much as possible and end up making the worst garbage. And you know they’re not even going to try to redeem themselves with g6; they’re just complacent, pretending that the previous products they themselves ruined didn’t exist.
It was mismanaged to hell and back, torn between two competing ideas that both could have worked (being tied explicitly and completely to G4, and being completely unique), and had the grave misfortune of falling in the window where Hasbro was having an identity crisis across most of their brands and IPs. Despite all that, the characters were fun.

It wasn’t the fandom. it was always hasbro. We were supposed to get another G4 movie and should have had a 10th season that setup the world for G5 but instead hasbro cut everything in order to rush to cheaper forms of advertising for a toy line they no longer made toys for. It was all about killing the fandom so they go back to making cheap garbage for little girls they don’t respect. G5 had potential they just needed to be allowed off the leash.
@Background Pony #E93B
that’s because Hasbro hates the fans and hates creators. Every time we made something great in honor of the show’s greatness Hasbro crushed it rather than buying it or working with the creative. We gave Hasbro everything and Hasbro spit on us. We know the writers had talent because each season got more restrictive with more demands by hasbro and the writers still made great stories. imagine what we could have had if they were simply allowed to made a complete story without hasbro meddling and making changes for toys they would never make. That was the most infuriating thing about hasbro. they are a toy company but they never made any pony merch. we had to make it all for ourselves. no matter how much we begged for it and proved we had money to give them they ignored us. Hasbro simply needs to sell the MLP IP to someone that truly loves it and would make things with it.
Awww, I love that this meme is both realistic and cute.
The downfall of g5 was Hasbro itself and the brony fandom. And the existence of g6 only reinforces my belief that Hasbro truly sabotaged and killed g5 on purpose so they could reuse and exploit g4 in other ways. Who would have thought TYT’s animation studio could do better pony designs when it comes to g4?
@Conscious Donkey
I think it would be easy to make another G4. You just can’t base it on G4. It needs to be its own thing with full creative freedom to make a world and allow the writers to play in it and have fun. We need Creative people back in control of entertainment and not bean counters that are just there to squeeze pennies out of garbage.

I did too. in fact, misty and izzy are my favorite characters in G5 Izzy from the movie and misty from the shows

There were creative people with G5, but Hasbro didn’t let them make things the way they wanted
If we see sane budgets make a comeback, we could see creative control make a comeback as well.
