there will always be an ever-expanding list of missed opportunities and things that could have been, it’s just one of those unavoidable parts of life. don’t spend too much time lingering on it, and make the most of what you have left.

I used to worry I missed out on things, never went out with my peers or went clubbing or dancing, but it was just never my thing. Things might seem fun but are actually not something you would enjoy. One can always go clubbing and try new things out, some of my friends started going to concerts for the first time only after their 30ies.

It’s kinda hard to explain. It’s beyond merely being drunk, or even just having fun. The romance, the connection. It’s hard to imagine it these days, with how the world’s been going. From what I hear, the golden era for the club experience is over, and hoping to meet someone I might truly connect with in such a place is a foolish hope.
Maybe these sorts of meetings of fate were always fantasy, even back then. I don’t know. I wasn’t there, and I never will be. That’s how it feels for a lot of what inspires me, even beyond this image.

I’d be a fool to reject insight.
