And technically they didn’t introduce Starlight too, but I’m gonna be honest: this is a reboot, so some things changed. Again, it’s nothing new: Hasbro also didn’t introduce Starsong and Toola Roola when FiM started, and even when they appeared, they were merely side characters, Cheerilee too, Sweetie Belle no longer could cook well, and others were ‘‘remixed’’. You know, G3 fans weren’t happy, and some actually really really disliked G4, and its first toys (and same was with G3.5 prior that!). But eventually people came to love G4. I think the same will happen here too. History repeats.

Yes, but it was already mentioned on 4Chan that Applejack and Rarity won’t be part of the main cast because they aren’t popular with kids. 4Chan isn’t a reliable source, but the person was right about the new series’ title.
I think this is probably the first fan art showing the alternate designs for the Mane 4 in this series (the ones we’ll likely see in the final product). Rainbow Dash’s mullet-mohawk (mullhawk?) mane style with emo bangs strikes me as a bit odd, but I think I’ll get used to it.
