Sibrand inherited it from his father, and when the time comes, he will it on to his son or daughter.
The sword doesn’t possess any magical powers; however, it’s considered ancient, if not magical. It was clearly forged not in Cohenlein or Equestria, but in the Kingdom of the Rising Sun, the home of the character Mistmane (a canonical character from the Chinese-Japanese series).
I deliberately made the sword’s design unusual, as I envisioned it featuring some ornamentation or unusual details with unique solutions. I have redesigned the sword many times, even more than Sibrand himself. My goal was to make it look like something between an oriental saber and a katana. I embodied the middle version as I saw it in my imagination. I am pleased with the result.
