“Nominative determinism is a myth, Rainbow Dash.” The library was tense. Twilight frowned at Rainbow’s face and hoof gesture made when she was speaking. “You can’t name your foal “Rainbow Demonslayer.” There are laws against it.”
“I thought you said it was a myth?”
The unicorn looked away nervously, stroking her mane. “Well, early Equestria was superstitious, and a little safety doesn’t hurt anypony.”
“It hurts me!” Rainbow stood and reared until she could gently set her belly on the table between them, gesturing at it with a hoof. “It hurts her too! I don’t want to name my foal something lame!”
“Rainbow, with your late term, you’ve already had the premonition about what to name her!” Twilight pointed at Rainbow, but not her, for emphasis. “You’d be denying your foal her true name with a stupid name like “Demonslayer” and you know it! Now what is it?”
