I need some critique on the shading I did on this pic before I start work on the final version. I know the tail looks like I went over it with pastels, and that I’ll fix in the final draft.

The paper is curling slightly inward on the edges, which explains why the letters look bent.

Also, I can’t determine the light source for this, and maybe that’s my problem. Any advice would be great.
