Very likely, i heard that too. Theres a limited participation low-cost option console market there. having a PS2 there is still held in regard. Nintendo was too greedy to share product market profits with a Brazilian partner.
i hear that the MegaDrive, even Master System is still sold there. Thanks to that market thats why world wide of all time the MegaDrive/Genesis is the second biggest seller, following only its predecessor the Master System.
i know someone some whence will wanna pipe up about Nintendo this or Nintendo that. But no, Nintendo lies and spins vocabulary and numbers. They obfuscate game history. the best Nintendo did was the Wii ( pre-release name “Revolution”)
But yeah no, the Sega Master System has been made & sold there since the late 1980s, nothing is ever catching up to that.
