Out of RD universe:

An advent historian, Desert grew to love ancient Somnambula and the old stories of her heroine, Somnambula. She studied and revived a lot of the old belly dancing moves that were lost to time and teaches others when she can. She believes deeply in the power of hope will make for a better future as it did in the past. What stood her out wasn’t just her enthusiasm, but she had embraced some of the old styles of Somnambula; which included nudism or wearing little clothes. Despite others attempting to do so, she refuses to wear anything and felt more comfortable looking natural.

Upon discovering Somnambula had returned from Limbo, she was ecstatic to see her and was more than happy to get her up to speed about the era she was in. The two soon became friends and although Somnambula shares the same mindset about nudism, she does encourage Desert to at least dress very loosely when teaching belly dancing as it was more an art than seducing others. Although Desert reluctantly agrees to it, she is often seen naked with Somnambula. Desert isn’t one to shy away from exhibitionism and has been looking for the right guy to one day take her; one that shares the same love for history as she does.

RD universe:

Before the Great Flood, Desert was a historian studying ancient Somnambula and the pyramids near it. She embraced some of the old lifestyles of ancient Somnambula; including nudism or wearing very little like in the past. When the Flood happened, she took what she could save and found herself drifting from place to place trying to make it as a historian, but soon had to take an alternative job to make ends meet. Thanks to dance lessons she learned and wanting to teach some form of history through it, she became a belly dancer using old techniques she studied from ancient Somnambula and taught others the moves when she could.

While not a big fighter, Desert can hold her ground when she needs to and has found her beauty, lack of clothing, and dancing charm can get others to let their guard guard to get away. Despite her attempts to avoid the criminal underworld, she eventually found work with Vinyl Scratch as a dancer and sometimes uses her charm to get others to give her information for her boss to use. She teaches some of the other ladies the ancient dance moves to entertain guests or interrogation techniques. She holds onto the belief of hope like her heroine, Somnambula, that one day the world can be free and go back to what it used to be again. The stories she’s heard of the Rogue Diamond crew fighting thr tyranny of Princess Celestia has kept that hope alive.
