Do the sources explain why the ban on G5? given Misty was in the early draft, what changed? (Best case is realized Misty wouldn’t work without her dark and tragic past which is not the direction G6 is going for.)

While I don’t belive these leaks are completely real, I wouldn’t have too much hope on male characters having any actual relevance. Their willingness to write off everything g5, Applejack (thus Big Mac) and maybe even Spike is pretty telling.

I would hate for this to partly come true. I wouldn’t want to see a step backward regarding male characters again. G5 did a good job moving forward on that theme!

Sure. But every leak that turns out to be true, there are a bunch of bullshit ones, frequently ones that seem tailored at pissing people off. This one seems to have a bit of that going on.
