Have you ever caught or thrown a ball over your head before? Trying to play sports like that won’t work very well. The angle you drew his arm and hand felt very unnatural. If you’re having trouble with a pose try and act it out yourself. Also, try to study the muscles of the human arm.

I thought this was adorable though, I expect great things from you, Anon. Keep it up.

Taken into consideration, thanks.
I was thinking more along the lines of a 40 lbs kid nephew for positioning. It does look awkward though, if you think in of a sports ball.
