even somber on ocasion its they went a ‘bit’ overboard with the grimdark towords the end of the story, but it was nessiary to for the charicter of blackjack and for what she represented, persistance to a goal, continuing on when anyone else would have stoped, when there is no gold at the end of the rainbow.
that said yeah i really did wish she had a happier ending, and i will it that yes murkey does have a wonderfull ending but geting ‘to’ it is a slog

I actually loved Murky, compared to horror PH that just kept breaking characters I got attached to. Murky, despite all its darkness was full of hope.
if the original artist is looking at these a warning about PH, there are places it gets significantly bleaker then the original and at least one chapter very late in it that crosses a line, breifly, that some get twitchy about, said chapter warns you in the pre chapter authors notes and it was left out of almost every audio reading of the story, so yeah
brace yourself your in for a wild ride
if you are looking for other FoE stories to read, if you need a cooldown after PH i sugest pink eyes, the charicters viewpoint makes the story aggressively saccharine dispite the dark stuff going on all around her
if you feel like punishing yourself check out murkey number seven….to date its the only story i was not able to get thru straight, i had to take a break and find something less serious (Changeling space program in the case of the first time) to depreasure mid way thru it
