Philosophy is not knowledge, but only charismatic arguing. Whether you read philosophy or not, you still have roughly the same amount of knowledge about the world we live in. So in comparison, watching ponies may actually be more beneficial for understanding life, even though it does not have such high-class status.
I engage with the show spiritually, philosophically, and socioeconomically. And I like to watch the cute horsie show. That too. But I’m saying it really does have value besides just being entertainment.
Seeing myself 10 years ago. What fool I was. What use is it to keep filling a wooden bucket with water if it leaks from its seams. (I.e. determination wins nothing if having a bad memory.)
Also, for no good reason, here’s my hot take: Philosophy is not knowledge, but only charismatic arguing. Whether you read philosophy or not, you still have roughly the same amount of knowledge about the world we live in. So in comparison, watching ponies may actually be more beneficial for understanding life, even though it does not have such high-class status. So the real question is that is it really about the knowledge or about the social status? For me it was the latter. What a fool I was.
