Summary: While vacationing in the human world, a high-class unicorn accidentally transforms into a sky-scraping giant, leaving her frantic boyfriend to stop her leisurely, destructive stroll through San Francisco.
The morning sun cast a brilliant golden glow over the Marin Hills, painting the sky in crisp, calm shades of blue. It was a spectacular mid-morning, but for two high-class unicorns accustomed to the paved streets of Canterlot, the rugged terrain was proving to be quite the challenge. Fancy Pants and his beautiful girlfriend, Fleur-de-Lis, had been trekking across the steep ridges for over an hour.
Fleur looked up at the endless sky, a serene smile gracing her features despite the physical toll. She was determined to enjoy the daring adventure.
“We won’t let a few hills tire us out,” Fancy Pants muttered, trying to sound encouraging. He forced his weary hooves forward, though his elegant stride was distinctly heavier than usual. “But I must confess, my dear, I have never experienced a stroll quite this long. If we don’t find a place to rest soon, I fear I might simply fall asleep right here on the grass.”
“Oh, relax, Fancy Pants,” Fleur-de-Lis reassured him with a warm, elegant chuckle. She gracefully flipped her pink mane with a front hoof, her eyes sparkling. “We will reach the Golden Gate Bridge soon, my love. Trust me. We can conquer any distance as long as we stick close and stay by each other’s side. Besides, you must it, these rolling hills are absolutely breathtaking.”
Rejuvenated by her words, the two unicorns pressed onward. Silently, they braved the steep inclines without hesitation. They focused entirely on their shared journey, refusing to give up as the morning slowly melted into the bright afternoon. Finally, after hours of continuous walking, the landscape opened up.
“Look! The bridge is waiting for us,” Fleur gasped, pointing a hoof toward the horizon. The iconic crimson structure filled her heart with a sense of awe and beauty. She leaned closer to Fancy Pants as they approached their long-awaited destination.
But before they could another step, Fleur came to an abrupt halt. A sudden tremor ran through her body, and a vibrant, glowing red aura ignited around her. The mysterious magical energy surged from her hooves to the tip of her horn.
Fancy Pants stopped, looking at her with deep suspicion and concern. “Hey, are you alright, dear?” he asked, stepping closer to inspect the strange phenomenon.
“Get back!” Fleur-de-Lis warned, her voice strained as a bizarre sensation took hold of her.
Fancy Pants instinctively stumbled backward just as the unicorn mare began to grow. Her size skyrocketed at an impossible rate. Up and up she went, her massive silhouette stretching higher until the tip of her horn brushed the high clouds. When the magical surge finally subsided, Fleur-de-Lis had reached a colossal, immeasurable scale.
Towering over the entire landscape, the giant unicorn raised her front hoof and looked back at her tiny surroundings with a thoroughly bewildered expression.
“Why do these things always have to happen to me?” she wondered aloud. Her voice boomed like thunder, echoing across the bay. Despite her slender frame and delicate features, her sheer mass now made her entirely unstoppable. She looked down, her wide eyes locking onto the sprawling cityscape of San Francisco across the water,
“Hmm. I suppose I should go over there while I’m this huge,” Fleur-de-Lis mused, a curious smile playing on her lips. “That should at least keep me entertained.”
With that, she took her very first massive step forward.
BOOM!
Her front left hoof met the earth with a deafening crash, sending violent shockwaves through the ground. Standing far below near her hind hooves, Fancy Pants lost his balance and tumbled over. He could only watch in utter shock as his giant girlfriend marched southward toward the city. Each colossal stride left deep, hoof-shaped craters in the hills. As she stepped into the bay, the deep waters barely splashed against the bottom of her enormous hooves, sending massive ripples racing across the water.
“Oh, heavens! This is catastrophic!” Fancy Pants shouted in panic, staring up at the towering unicorn as she strolled toward the city skyline. “How am I supposed to stop her now?!”
The afternoon peace of San Francisco shattered as a sound like rolling thunder vibrated through the concrete foundations of the city. Down on the crowded Embarcadero, tourists and locals alike froze, looking around in confusion. The bay waters, usually gently lapping against the piers, began to violently slosh and ripple outward in perfect, rhythmic circles.
Then, she appeared over the horizon.
“Is that… a horse?!” someone screamed from a crowded cable car, pointing out toward the Golden Gate.
A collective gasp rippled through the financial district as thousands of eyes locked onto the colossal, pristine white figure effortlessly through the deep channel. To the citizens on the ground, Fleur-de-Lis looked less like an animal and more like a moving skyscraper, her soft pink mane drifting around her shoulders like clouds, and a horn that literally pierced the upper atmosphere.
Mass panic erupted instantly, but it was a panic mixed with sheer, bewildered disbelief. Traffic on the Bay Bridge ground to a screeching halt as drivers abandoned their vehicles, jaws dropped, cell phones whipped out to record a sight that defied all laws of physics.
“It’s a giant unicorn! A giant pink-haired unicorn is coming right at us!” a street vendor shouted, dropping his cart as he ran for cover.
Sirens began to wail across the city as the police department scrambled to respond to an emergency they had absolutely no protocol for. Car alarms blared in harmony with each thunderous step Fleur took through the bay. People poured out of office buildings and restaurants, crowding the sidewalks and staring up into the sky. Some fell to their knees in shock, others fled in terror into the nearest subway stations, while hundreds of teenagers stood frozen, desperately trying to get the colossal mare into their camera frames for the ultimate livestream.
From her immense height, the screaming of the tiny citizens sounded like the faint buzzing of gnats. Fleur-de-Lis looked down at the sprawling grid of streets, skyscrapers, and tiny, colorful cars, completely fascinated by how small everything looked from up here.
“Oh, my,” Fleur murmured, her voice cascading down over the city blocks like a physical wave of sound, rattling windows from Russian Hill to the Marina. “They all seem so terribly frightened. I really don’t mean to cause a fuss, but it is rather hard to be polite when you’re this enormous.”
With a curious tilt of her head, she lifted a colossal white hoof over the shoreline, ready to made her grand entry into the city itself.
Fleur-de-Lis tilted her head, aiming her gaze toward a prominent high-rise near the shoreline. With a gentle sway of her massive shoulders, she brought her enormous front left hoof sweeping over the docks and pressed it straight down onto the roof of a towering corporate headquarters.
CRUNCH.
The steel-and-glass structure buckled instantly under her unimaginable weight. Concrete shattered into dust, and the top five floors pancaked into a twisted mess of girders. Alarms shrieked as structural debris cascades down into the streets below like a landslide. The sheer force of her step sent a shockwave ripping through the pavement, shattering every glass window within a three-block radius and knocking fleeing pedestrians off their feet.
As she pulled her hoof away to bring her hind legs ashore, her massive flank brushed against a neighboring skyscraper. The scraped away rows of windows and sent a shower of sparks flying from severed electrical lines. Streetlights snapped like toothpicks, and parked cars bounced into the air as the very foundation of the financial district groaned under her entrance.
Looking down at the swirling clouds of dust and the absolute chaos unfolding between her hooves, Fleur-de-Lis gasped, her eyes widening with genuine horror. She hadn’t meant to break anything.
“Oh! Oh dear, I am so incredibly sorry!” Fleur called out, leaning her massive head down toward the streets in an attempt to comfort the frantic population.
But to the citizens scrambling for their lives below, her attempt at a gentle apology was an absolute disaster. When a colossal unicorn opens her mouth from hundreds of feet in the air, her voice doesn’t sound like a reassuring word—it sounds like a localized hurricane.
The sheer sonic force of her speech blasted down the narrow street canyons. The wind pressure tore canvas awnings off storefronts, flipped over several buses, and send trash cans bowling down the avenues. People had to cover their ears and dive behind concrete barriers just to keep from being knocked over by the literal wall of sound.
“Please, everyone, do not panic! I am a lady, I promise! I am entirely harmless!” she bellowed, trying to project her voice over the rising din of emergency sirens.
Unfortunately, each word only caused more destruction. The vibration from her voice resonated perfectly with the glass facade of a nearby department store, causing the entire storefront to explode outward in a spectacular shower of shards. Realizing her voice was only making things worse, Fleur quickly clamped her hooves over her mouth, her eyes darting around the ruined street in deep embarrassment. It was clear to these tiny creatures, even her gentlest whisper was a weapon of mass destruction.
Realizing that speech was out of the question, Fleur-de-Lis offered a sheepish, apologetic wince to the chaotic streets below. If she couldn’t talk to them, she figured she might as well see the rest of the sights. With a delicate toss of her massive pink mane, she turned away from the shoreline and began her heavy stride deeper toward the heart of downtown.
BOOM… BOOM… BOOM…
Each step was a localized earthquake. As her colossal hooves marched down Market Street, asphalt cracked beneath her weight, leaving massive, deep craters in the road. Underground subway tunnels groaned under the immense pressure of her stride. Shadows the side of entire city blocks swept over the skyscrapers as she maneuvered her slender but incredibly heavy body between the high-rises, entirely fascinated by the glittering glass towers brushing past her shoulders.
Meanwhile, miles behind her back hooves, a tiny white speck was desperately screaming at the top of his lungs.
Fancy Pants stood perched on the very top of the Golden Gate Bridge’s northern tower, balancing precariously on the cables. He was panting heavily, his monocle nearly slipping off his face as he cupped his front hooves around his mouth.
“Fleur! Fleur, my darling, please stop!” Fancy Pants yelled, pouring every ounce of air in his lungs into the open sky. “You’re stepping on the infrastructure! Fleur!”
But his voice was entirely useless. At her current, god-like scale, the laws of acoustics were completely stacked against him. To Fleur-de-Lis, the desperate shouts of her boyfriend didn’t even as a whisper. The immense distance, combined the howling winds of the upper atmosphere and the constant, deafening roar of the city sirens, made Fancy Pants completely mute to her. He was nothing more than a microscopic ant shouting at a skyscraper.
Through his binoculars, Fancy Pants watched in pure horror as his giant girlfriend completely ignored his warnings. She casually stepped over a major highway over—narrowly missing a line of abandoned cars—and continued her destructive, leisurely stroll directly into the densest part of the downtown skyline.
“Oh, sweet Celestia,” Fancy Pants groaned, dropping his binoculars in absolute despair. “She can’t a hear a single word. If I don’t find a way to get her attention right now, there won’t be a city left to save!”
The towering concrete needle of the Transamerica Pyramid gleamed in the afternoon sun, but its architectural majesty meant nothing to the colossal unicorn now standing over it. Fleur-de-Lis continued her casual stroll through the heart of downtown, her eyes locked on the glittering bay in the distance. She was completely oblivious to the narrow street canyons ing directly beneath her underbelly.
CRACK-SHATTER!
As she swung her front right leg forward, the back of her heavy hoof clipped the upper spire of the iconic pyramid. The structural steel snapped instantly under her casual momentum, and the top fifty feet of the skyscraper sheared off completely, tumbling down into the surrounding streets like a falling spear. Fleur didn’t even feel the impact; to her, the sharp concrete peak was no more noticeable than a stray blade of grass brushing against a pony’s fetlock.
The destruction of the city’s most famous landmark was the final straw for the local government. Emergency sirens wailed in a synchronized, deafening chorus as the city authorities launched a desperate counterattack.
From the nearby military bases, a squadron of attack helicopters swarmed the skies, buzzing around Fleur’s massive chest like angry hornets. Below them, a barricade of police cruisers and armored military vehicles lined the cracked remains of Market Street, aiming every spotlight, tear gas launcher, and heavy artillery piece up at the towering white wall of her forelegs.
“Fire at will! Bring her down!” the tactical commander barked over the radio.
A barrage of heavy-caliber rounds and flash bang canisters erupted from the street, while the helicopters loosed a volley of tactical smoke missiles directly at her flanks. Explosions detonated in a flurry of bright flashes and thick smoke against her pristine white coat.
But it was entirely useless. Fleur-de-Lis possessed an impossibly dense, god-like mass that rendered her completely invincible to human weaponry. The heavy artillery shells didn’t even scratch her skin; they simply bounced off her slender, heavy legs like harmless pebbles, exploding harmlessly in mid-air. The helicopter missiles felt like nothing more than a faint, ticklish breeze against her sides.
“Cease fire! Cease fire!” the commander screamed into his radio, his voice shaking with absolute terror as he stared up through the smoke. “It’s not doing anything! We’re just making her notice us!”
The authorities watched in pure, frozen helplessness, completely realizing the terrifying truth: her immeasurable, god-like scale made her an unstoppable force of nature. Launching another attack would be suicide.
Oblivious to the military’s despair, Fleur-de-Lis simply lifted her front left hoof and took another massive step forward, continuing her leisurely stroll through the metropolis. With every thunderous stride, she left absolute devastation in her wake. Entire office buildings pancaked under her soles, main avenues turned into deeply cratered trenches, and hundreds of abandoned vehicles were crushed flat into the asphalt like tin cans. She marched onward, a beautiful but terrifying titan leaving a trail of shattered concrete and twisted metal behind her.
Having satisfied her curiosity with the downtown skyscrapers, Fleur-de-Lis turned her sights toward a massive patch of green cutting through the concrete grid of the city. The lush canopy of Golden Gate Park stretched out before her like a soft, inviting velvet rug. Fascinated by the contrast of nature amidst the metal and stone, she adjusted her path and began a heavy, rhythmic march toward the west.
BOOM… BOOM… BOOM…
Her massive stride easily devoured the entire city blocks at a time. As she stepped out of the financial district, her colossal hind hoof brought a devastating end to a multi-story parking garage, flattening the concrete structure into a pile of gray of dust and twisted rebar. She paid it no mind, her massive eyes entirely locked on the sprawling park ahead.
The citizens in the neighborhoods of Hayes Valley and the Richmond District fled in absolute terror as the shadow of the colossal unicorn swept over their homes. Each thunderous footstep sent violent tremors through the residential streets, rupturing underground water main and sending geysers of water shooting into the air. Power lines snapped and sparked like fireworks as her slender, heavy legs brushed past the utility poles.
To Fleur-de-Lis, the historic Victorian houses lining the streets looked like tiny, colorful toy blocks. She took extra care to lift her hooves high to avoid tripping on them, completely unaware that the sheer wind pressure from her movement was ripping the roofs straight off the buildings.
Within minutes, she reached the eastern edge of Golden Gate Park. Looking down at the thousands of dense trees, the giant mare let out a soft sigh of relief that swept through the valley like a warm gale. Compared to the hard, jagged edges of the downtown skyscrapers, the park looked like the perfect place to rest her incredibly heavy frame.
She lifted a colossal front hoof, preparing to step right into the middle of the greenery, completely oblivious to the historic museums, botanical gardens, and tiny panicked wildlife scattering beneath her shadow.
Fleur-de-Lis looked down into the park, her eyes catching the shimmering surface of Stow Lake. To her colossal vision, the large body of water looked like nothing more than a tiny, glittering puddle nestled among the bushes. Curious to see how she looked at this unimaginable scale, she learned her massive head down, her long horn slicing through the upper clouds.
She stared at her reflection in the water. Even at a god-like size, she remained incredibly beautiful, her soft pink mane draping elegantly around her neck. However, the sheer proximity of her face to the ground was terrifying for the park. The gentle breath from her nostrils created a massive windstorm, blowing the water right out of the lake basin and sending it splashing over the surrounding hills.
Feeling a bit fatigued from her trek across the Bay Area, Fleur decided it was time to relax. With a graceful, slow movement, she lowered her slender but incredibly heavy body and lay down right across the dense forest of trees.
CRUNCH-RUMBLE!
Thousands of mature pine and eucalyptus trees snapped like toothpicks beneath her immense weight. The ground groaned loudly as her concave belly and massive flanks flattened acres of greenery into splintered mulch. She let out of a contented sigh, resting her chin near the top of Strawberry Hill, completely oblivious to the fact that her casual resting spot had just reshaped the entire geography of the park.
Meanwhile, miles behind her, Fancy Pants was making his desperate next move.
Realizing that running on hoof was completely pointless, he had used his high-society status and a bit of unicorn telekinesis to commandeer a deserted, high-speed news helicopter left of a rooftop. Snapping the seatbelt around his waist with his magic, Fancy Pants forced the controls forward, sending the chopper roaring into the sky.
He pushed the aircraft to its absolute limit, the rotors screaming as he trailed the path of absolute destruction Fleur had left behind. He flew past the ruined Transamerica Pyramid, over the created asphalt of Market Street, and finally spotted the colossal white mountain of his girlfriend resting in the distance.
“Hold on, my love!” Fancy Pants muttered frantically, gripping the steering stick. “I’m coming to get your attention, even if it’s the last thing I do!”
The news helicopter engine roared as Fancy Pants angled the mechanical bird downward, banking sharply around the crushed remains of the multi-story parking garage. Ahead of him, the view of Golden Gate Park was absolutely staggering. His beautiful girlfriend lay stretched out across the flattened valley like a mountain range of pristine white porcelain. Her soft pink mane cascaded over the hills like a pastel landslide, and her massive, elegant flanks rose and fell with each slow, content breath, creating rhythmic gusts of wind that rustled the surviving trees below.
Fancy Pants pushed the collective stick forward, rising steadily until the helicopter hovered directly in front of her colossal face. Up close, her closed eyelids looked like massive, soft walls.
Reaching out with his telekinesis, Fancy Pants activated the helicopter’s high-powered external loudspeaker system. He grabbed the cockpit microphone with his magical aura and cleared his throat, pouring all the volume and authority of a Canterlot noble into the electronic device.
“Fleur! Fleur-de-Lis, my darling! Wake up!” Fancy Pants’ voice boomed through the loudspeakers, crackling heavily with static across the valley.
The sharp sound, though tiny compared to her immense scale, was just enough to cut through her resting haze. Fleur’s long, dark eyelashes fluttered open. Her massive purple eyes—each one easily the size of a multi-story apartment building—focused directly on the tiny, buzzing metal object hovering just inches from the bridge of her nose. She blinked in confusion, her eyes widening in recognition as she spotted the microscopic unicorn sitting inside the glass cockpit.
“Fancy Pants?” Fleur whispered.
Even though she tried to whisper, the sheer volume of her voice was catastrophic. The sonic wave of her breath blasted directly into the helicopter. The aircraft tilted violently to the side, the alarms inside the cockpit shrieking as the wind pressure threatened to send the chopper spinning out of control into the trees below. Fancy Pants gripped the steering stick with his magic, sweating profusely as he fought the controls to stabilize the aircraft.
“Whoa! Careful, my love!” Fancy Pants shouted back into the microphone, his voice shaking. “Please, don’t speak! Your voice is a localized hurricane down here! Just listen to me!”
Fleur quickly clamped a massive front hoof over her mouth, her eyes darting around in a sheepish, apologetic wince. She looked past the helicopter, finally taking a proper look at the utter devastation surrounding her heavy frame. Her eyes filled with genuine horror as she saw the flattened grid of the city, the splintered remains of the park, and the crushed skyscrapers in the distance. She had been so captivated by the view that she hadn’t realized her casual stroll had completely rewritten the geography of San Francisco.
“We need to fix this, Fleur,” Fancy Pants said into the microphone, his tone softening with encouragement. “The red aura that made you grow—it was a chaotic magic surge from the terrain. I need you to focus on your horn. Try to a channel your own magic inward to suppress it, and I will try to assist you with a counter-spell from up here!”
Fleur-de-Lis nodded slowly, careful not to create another windstorm with her movement. She closed her eyes tightly, focusing every ounce of her concentration.
Deep within her core, the mysterious magical energy began to stir again. A vibrant, glowing red aura ignited at the base of her hooves, quickly racing up her slender legs and channeling directly into the tip of her towering spiral horn. The sky above them began to crackle with static electricity as her immense magical reservoir built up pressure, casting a brilliant crimson glow over the entire ruined bay.
The brilliant crimson glow radiating from Fleur-de-Lis’s towering horn expanded into a massive, shimmering dome of magical energy that enveloped the entire expanse of Golden Gate Park. The air thrummed with a heavy, rhythmic vibration that made the helicopter’s glass cockpit rattle violently. Fancy Pants held the microphone tightly in his magical grip, his heart pounding as he watched the immense reservoir of magic gather at the tip of her horn.
“That’s it, Fleur! You’re doing splendidly!” Fancy Pants encouraged her over the loudspeaker, his voice straining against the static interference. “Now, hold that energy steady. Focus on the image of your normal self, and let the magic fold back inward!”
Fleur-de-Lis squeezed her eyes shut tightly, her teeth gritted as she fought to master the volatile, chaotic energy pulsing through her veins. Taking a deep, slow breath—mindful not to blow the helicopter out of the sky—she concentrated entirely on the memory of the cobblestone streets of Canterlot, her elegant boutique, and the comfortable, normal-sized stride she usually shared with her boyfriend.
Sensing her focus stabilizing, Fancy Pants ignited his own horn. A pristine, aristocratic golden aura flared to life, projecting a thin, precise beam of containment magic directly toward the center of Fleur’s forehead. As the golden light pierced the turbulent red shroud, it acted as a catalyst, harmonizing the chaotic magic and giving her the anchoring point she needed.
A sudden, breathtaking silence fell over the entire Bay Area as the crimson dome began to rapidly reverse its direction.
Instead of expanding outward in a destructive blast, the magical field collapsed inward, gathering into a dense, swirling vortex at the tip of her spiral horn. The heavy pressure weighting down the surrounding neighborhoods lifted instantly. Fleur’s massive frame gave a sudden, sharp shudder as the reversed energy finally flowed backward into her core.
Then, with the soft, rushing sound of a fading summer breeze, she began to shrink.
The reduction was incredibly smooth and rapid. The mountain-like silhouette that had pierced the cloud deck descended at a spectacular rate, pulling away from the upper atmosphere. Her massive flanks, which had flattened acres of mature forest, receded gracefully from the hillsides of the park. The towering front legs that had terrified the financial district drew inward, losing their immeasurable mass and weight with every ing second.
Fancy Pants carefully adjusted the helicopter’s collective stick, lowering the aircraft in tandem with her descending head to keep her safely in view. Down and down she went, ing the heights of the tallest skyscrapers, then the tree line, until her size finally stabilized right back to her original, slender, and elegant proportions.
Fleur-de-Lis opened her eyes, blinking softly as she looked down at her own perfectly normal front hooves. The vibrant red aura was completely gone, replaced by the familiar, gentle spark of her own unicorn magic. She standing safely in a small, cleared grass clearing within the park, completely uninjured.
“Fancy Pants!” she called out. This time, her voice was nothing more than a warm, melodic whisper that carried perfectly across the quiet clearing.
Fancy Pants brought the news helicopter down to a gentle hover just a few feet above the grass, setting it down with a soft thud. He quickly unbuckled his seatbelt with his magic, threw the cockpit door open, and scrambled out onto the lawn. Fleur trotted forward to meet him, her pink mane swaying gracefully in the afternoon breeze as she leaned down to press her cheek affectionately against his.
“Oh, thank goodness,” Fancy Pants sighed, burying his face in her mane as a profound wave of relief washed over him. “I must confess, my dear, that was by far the most terrifying stroll we have ever taken.”
Fleur-de-Lis offered a sheepish, elegant chuckle, looking back past his shoulder toward the distant, heavily altered skyline of San Francisco. “Yes, it certainly was an adventure, my love. But you must it… the view from up there was absolutely breathtaking.”
Fleur-de-Lis looked down at her normal-sized hooves, and then slowly turned her gaze toward the distant skyline. The sight of the severed Transamerica Pyramid, the deeply crated trenches of Market Street, and the flattened parking garage filled her heart with a heavy weight. She looked down in shame, her ears flattening against her pink mane as tears welled in her large purple eyes.
“Oh, Fancy Pants,” Fleur whispered, her voice trembling with genuine remorse. “I am so terribly sorry. I completely let myself get carried away with the novelty of it all. Look at what I’ve done to this beautiful place. I didn’t mean to break anything, but I was just so fascinated by how small everything looked…”
Fancy Pants stepped forward, using his magic to gently lift her chin so she would look at him. He offered her a warm, comforting smile, his eyes filled with nothing but tenderness.
“Oh, tut-tut, my darling, do not worry,” Fancy Pants comforted her gently, wiping a stray tear from her cheek. “You mustn’t blame yourself for this catastrophe. Whatever that strange, vibrant red growth thing was inside of you, it clearly wasn’t something you could control. It was the true source of your growth, acting entirely on its own chaotic accord.”
He looked back over his shoulder at the smoke rising from the financial district, tapping his chin thoughtfully. “Though I must it, it will likely take a quite a while for us to fully study and fix this whole growth thing. We certainly don’t want a repeat performance the next time we take a stroll through Canterlot.”
Together, the two unicorns turned to look at the ruined city. The afternoon sun cast long shadows over the shattered concrete, broken windows, and twisted metal girders that marked the path of Fleur’s colossal trek.
“I suppose it is best if we make our departure before the local authorities realize the giant titan has shrunk down to our size,” Fancy Pants murmured, adjusting his soot-covered coat.
Nodding in agreement, Fleur-de-Lis stuck close to his side. Silently and carefully, they began to walk through the damaged city, weaving their way between the cracked asphalt and abandoned vehicles of the quiet neighborhoods. They made their way toward a secluded edge of the bay, completely unnoticed by the frantic crowds still staring up at the empty sky.
Once they were safely hidden from human eyes, Fancy Pants and Fleur-de-Lis ignited their horns in unison. A bright, harmonious flash of golden and white magic tore through the air, opening a swirling dimensional gateway before them. With one last glance back at the scarred San Francisco landscape, they stepped through the portal together, escaping the human world and heading straight back home to the familiar paved streets of Canterlot.

Yes, apologies. I write long stories to keep things more improved so people can understand what’s happening in my MLP macro stories. My stories are very long for my MLP-related stories, which I am still working on more that are scheduled to be released this year.
And the reason why Fleur-de-Lis looks more of a glowing brighter tone than usual is because making her a bit darker wouldn’t sound right with an image that is bright.

Overall, this is a simple image (probably simpler than my own), but with a complex (and personally quite engaging) story. I’m not the greatest tool in the shed at writing stories, since I’m not a fan of literature and I don’t want to spend hours or days writing them this complex.
One critique that I would like to give is the lighting. In the moderately dark sky, it looks like Fleur-de-Lis is glowing, but let’s assume it’s due to magic, related to her growth or not.
