The box contains the deed to the rundown castle. Celestia and Luna mortgaged the place to get the Elements, and the rainbow keys are the interest.
HMMM….There’s no way this could end badly…After EQG just being so gosh darned good and Twilicorn being SUCH a good idea, why not paint them all RAINBOW PATTERNED and give them a Rainbow kingdom to frolic around in.
Fuck it, why stop there? Let’s make ’em ALL ALICORNS!
Just a random hypothesis, based on the backdrop images from the NY Toy Fair, is that ‘‘a’’ castle that ‘‘a’’ tree of Harmony seems to be emeded in or ing.
As such, it might be the box contains the seed or sapling for a new Tree of Harmony which when planted elsewhere grows out the new castle. In other words, it doesn’t have to be the Castle of the Two Sisters or situated in the middle of Everfree.
I’ve just noticed the ‘rainbow kingdom’ tag. I’ve never seen it before, so I decided to unhide the ‘season 4’ tag to see what that’s all about…
…
Hmm, looks like we’ll have something else to get the fandom up in arms, all over again. Not that I’m complaining, because the show is based on a toy franchise, after all. In the end, whatever Hasbro says, is law. The reason I’m not complaining, is because of one thing: The staff at Hasbro Studios has been doing all they can to make the best of these toy tie-ins and give us some quality entertainment…
Glimmer Wings - Personally, I was never a fan of these toys. Shiny, butterfly wings slapped onto Pegasus Ponies, it’s a bit redundant, you know? Rarity sported a pair in ‘Sonic Rainboom,’ which was a freaking AWESOME episode!!!
The Royal Pony Wedding - They turned something that was merely done to capitalize on the hype of the British Royal Wedding into an epic, no-holds-barred finale for season two!
The Crystal Empire - This series of shiny pony merch became a solid season opener, which added some new tidbits to the series lore (AKA Fanfic Fuel)!
Princess Twilight Sparkle - Aside from triggering a major shitstorm, Mr. Larson should not get the blame for something that was already out of his control. Besides, if I correctly, weren’t they were ordered to squeeze Princess Twilight into the season, during mid-production? That couldn’t have been easy on them, considering that season three was only half as long as the previous two. I, personally, didn’t mind Twilight becoming a princess, as long as it didn’t mess with the show’s dynamics too badly. Also, I have my reasons for why I enjoyed ‘Magical Mystery Cure’ as much as I did.
Equestria Girls - Ah, yes… Hasbro’s attempt to compete with Monster High, and the culprit behind season three being so short. This sudden, jarring new take on the characters we all know and love caused almost as much of a shitstorm as Princess Twilight! Still, this movie did not turn out as horrible as many of us thought it would! True, it was cheesy and sloppily rushed together, but it was still an entertaining ride. Plus, that song is way too damn catchy… You know which one I’m talking about.
Rainbow Power - After ‘Rarity Takes Manehattan’ and ‘Rainbow Falls,’ I already put two and two together, and figured out what was going to be in that box. Hell, the mysterious rainbow that appears whenever the ponies have their moment of clarity is comprised of the coat colors of the Mane Six. And considering the promotional images I’ve seen, it’s probably going to be implemented as some sort of transformation power-up that will replace the Elements of Harmony.
Rainbow Kingdom - With the constant returns to the Ancient Castle we’ve been seeing, this season, it’s OBVIOUS that they’re going to fix that place up for Twilight. This is good, because she can have a castle of her own, and still be close to Ponyville, with her friends. So for any neighsayers who complain about Princess Twilight not doing anything princess-like, since becoming an alicorn, I say unto thee, “Patience, grasshopper!” Seriously, people, thrusting Twilight into a position of power, right off the bat, is part of what everyone was losing their shit over, in the first place!
Anyway, however they decide to implement these toys into the show, I’m hoping it’s going to live up to how awesome this season has been, so far! Also, if they’re making a second Equestria Girls movie, does that mean season five is only going to be half as long, too?
And then Twilight Sparkle has to learn some valuable lessons in economics and how to run a Kingdom.

I wonder just how focused could a room full of bronies and a few Hasbro red’s for them to talk pony stuff to?
Hasbro: This studied well with the little girls in our focus groups. Bronies? We don’t care about them.
