It’s parodying the show ‘‘too’’. But Hasbro doesn’t have as strong a case to C&D this compared to Jan’s stuff as I’ve explained.

No, again we are still talking about the fact both BA/Jan’s stuff and Fighting is Magic are using characters so close to MLP’s style that Hasbro can claim consumer confusion on visual looks.
This parody is enough to avoid the consumer confusion even if the target is clear.

The best way you can possibly avoid a C&D is to do stuff like this. If Fighting is Magic had blood, it would have never gotten anything. If Button’s Adventures was slightly more risque and in a slightly different style, it would have been fine.
Consider that there is likely no confusion between this style and the show itself, despite borrowing many concepts and parodies names from it.
This is why I think Hasbro C&D’d Jan - Jan’s stuff is so good as to be mistaken for the show, and that’s a problem from trademark law. Yes, there are legal ways to make everyone happen so that Jan’s stuff can co-exist with the show, perhaps with disclaimers, etc.
This parody is clearly a parody and clearly not produced by Hasbro, so trademark issues can’t be claimed. There is the possible copyright issue but they can argue the actual parody, compared to Jan, should it come to that.

Yeah. They went with the same joke that’s been told over and over and just padded it out.
I’m not even offended by the comic. I’m offended they didn’t put any effort into the writing. The only guy who seems to have tried is the artist.
There’s a difference between taking a joke, and looking for a joke that’s fresh, new and actually funny.
