I’m no DCI Judge, but I’m pretty sure that being forced to choose a card to discard would count for the purposes of this effect, no matter how many cards you have in your hand.
I wonder about what exactly “force” means here. Does that mean that if you have an option to choose which card to discard, the ability doesn’t apply? Does that change if you only have one card in your hand?
I’d say it’s akin to Dodecapod’s ability in Magic: if you would discard Applejack, you can play her instead.

We’ll get an official ruling soon enough.
I was joking.

The CCG doesn’t play like Magic or Yugioh.
They have a ‘Power’ score (top right corner), but it doesn’t function like it would in any other CCG.

That’s almost exactly what I thought when I saw this card. Opponent plays NMM, summon AJ for free, dismiss NMM.
Not to mention it makes your opponent think twice about playing those annoying Yellow Parasprites.

Strange that Honesty is the element that forces discards, which means any honesty mirror matches make this thing ridiculous.
“From this moment forth, the night will last FOREVER!”
“Says you.” (cocks boomstick) “Get offa my property.”
“…yes ma’am.”
