I think the moral was more about the cycle of bullying and how trying to get back at someone just makes you a bully yourself.
It’s true that telling an adult doesn’t always work, so it’s important to tell one you trust. Unfortunately not all kids have relatives as strong and devoted as Applejack.

Some people just are progressive, and don’t need to try to “look” that way.
Besides, the moral of One Bad Apple wasn’t “Don’t bully,” so much as “If you’re being bullied, tell an adult, because they’ll totally always help you,” which has… mixed results in real life, depending on how attentive your parents and teachers are.

Yeah, if this is about on the same level as drawing Twilight saying “Books are awesome!” Like, maybe she never said that verbatim, but I’m pretty sure she would agree.
This is the exact message of Putting Your Hoof Down, slightly reworded. I’m not sure if it even counts as mouthpiecing when the character is saying something she said before in a friendship lesson.
@The Twelfth Doctor Whoof
Yes, “weak and helpless”. She seems to have forgotten at that time the times where she reduced a dragon to a crying mess and stared down a cockatrice.
That’s very much the point. I’m sick of seeing mouthpieces used negatively and to hurt others.
Ponies are supposed to be positive and helpful. I want to see more ponies saying positive, encouraging things. That’s what ponies are supposed to be about.
Edited
Still is serious.

it was a double moral too, for babs, that she didint needed to be a bully herself in order to feel accepted and not look like a weakling.

steal the morals of one bad apple in oder to look progressive?

I like to think that Fluttershy knew EXACTLY what Discord was trying to do, so she was countertrolling him.

But at least it’s a positive mouthpiece message that nicely dovetails with the show’s ideals, so props to that.

Agreed, We need more positive Ponies.
seems that mouthpiece is a general term, but its 90% usage is negative.
